A Message from the ESMS/Manhattan Youth Program Director

March 15, 2020

Dear ESMS Families,

For more than 30 years, Manhattan Youth has provided after-school programs every day that public schools are open, holiday camps during school vacations, and even emergency coverage during some weather-related school closures. As New York City prepared to fight the COVID-19 pandemic, we remained committed to operating our programs for children and families who need our care. Today's decision by our State and City leaders to close NYC public schools and all other nonessential businesses has temporarily shuttered our doors.

All Manhattan Youth programs are closed as of Monday, March 16. In the days to come, we will send you updates about our programs, and the ways Manhattan Youth will continue to support children and families through this crisis. For now, we hope that you and your family remain healthy and safe.

Your Manhattan Youth Family

Best,

With the completion of our Musical Theater show this week, there will be open enrollment for our theater class. This spring, students will work in groups with our theater teachers on small pieces (i.e. monologues, cabaret, improv, Shakespeare).

All students who are currently enrolled in Model UN are expected to continue attending through the end of March. If you would like your child to attend another class on Thursdays starting in April, please enroll when you register this week.

Sports Tryouts
This Spring we will offer five competitive teams: Co-ed Ultimate Frisbee, Girls Softball, Baseball, Girls Volleyball & Boys Volleyball. Track & Field and soccer club do not require a tryout.
